Recipe Of The Week

Breakfast Egg Cups
Approx Macros: Per 2 egg cups: 0g C/ 30g P/ 15g F

Here is a recipe for egg muffins - I just use my favorite veggies like red bell peppers, spinach, green onions... whatever you love! https://www.eatyourselfskinny.com/healthy-veggie-egg-muffins/

Ingredients:
- 12 Deli Turkey Slices
- 12 Eggs
- 120g Cheese of choice (Cheddar, goat, feta work great!)

Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray or butter
3. Line each muffin tin with one piece of turkey
4. Add 1 tbsp (10g) of cheese into each cup
5. Crack 1 egg over top of cheese and add salt and pepper to taste
6. Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes

Recipe Notes: Macros will be based upon cheese of choice and other additives. Feel free to add in chopped veggies of choice or even crumbled bacon or breakfast sausage for new varieties!

Set a timer for 15 minutes and complete the following exercises in order for as many rounds as possible! Modify as needed!

  1. 6 Push-Ups

  2. 16 Lunges (8 each leg)

  3. 10 Reverse Sit Ups

  4. 12 Air Squats

  5. Rest 1:00 and then repeat

Are You Hydrating The Right Way?

Summer is in full swing and it is HOT, HOT, HOT! Did you know that plain water is probably not hydrating you?

Your body craves electrolytes to maintain proper fluid balance in your body. Drinking too much plain water can actually cause you to be deficient in essential minerals like potassium, magnesium, and sodium. But before you head for that chemically filled gatorade, listen up for the right way to hydrate this summer!

First, some things you might want to know:
1. By the time you’re thirsty, you’re probably already mildly dehydrated, so you want to sip regularly throughout the day. I aim for 80-120oz of fluids a day!
2. Water regulates your appetite which means drinking enough water (80-120oz/day) can aid in weight loss!

So, what should you be drinking?

Consider drinking filtered water to avoid the nasty particles and chemicals often found in tap water.

Choose your electrolytes carefully: many electrolyte drinks on the market are packed with sugar and other additives that you want to avoid! Some of my favorites are THESE hydration sticks or the electrolyte powder from Just Ingredients. Try adding electrolytes to one of your waters per day.

Fruit juice or fruit infused water. And not the kind you buy at the store! Juicing a watermelon for example is a great way to hydrate without added sugars you find in store bought juices or simply add a pinch of salt and some fruit slices to your glass of water for a refreshing, hydrating twist!

Staying hydrated isn’t about drinking loads of water, but about optimizing your water to work for your body.

MINDSET
Be Conscious Of The Life You’re Creating

Everything in your life is a result of your thoughts, focus, and efforts.

The career you have...
The house you live in...
The cars, vacations, etc...
Everything.

This is why I am a true believer in the Law of Attraction.
The energy you put out in the universe through your focus and efforts is exactly what you will get in return.

So if you truly want to achieve your biggest goals and dreams...

First ... You must have a crystal clear vision of what it is you want to accomplish and what your life will look like.
Want to lose 20lbs? Then you must sit and write exactly what a person who is able to lose 20lbs does day in and day out.
Want to land your dream job? Write out everything that the person in that position does, has, how they act, etc.

Second ... You must pour all of your focus, energy, attention, and effort into pursuing those dreams.

Anything less than that...
...and you will be sending mixed signals to the universe about what it is you actually want.

Don't leave your life up to chance.
Be conscious of the life you are creating through your focus and efforts.

You only get one life.
Make it the one you want.
